How much information... Stainless steel. 2021.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The Essence of Form explores fundamental forms, like the vessel, through the process of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing.  I believe that, by adopting the digital language of today to communicate forms, with which we have interacted with for centuries, I am creating a bridge to understanding the digital world. In essence, I am allowing the viewer to move from the known to the unknown. Additionally the common ground of common materials, like stainless steel, serves as another bridge from the known to the unknown.

This work begins to demystify the digital process, a process that is oftentimes sequestered to just a select few, and allows for a more universal access. This access to understanding technology and the technological process is especially important, as we are increasingly living in a society in which technological literacy is becoming essential to social engagement, individual development, and survival.

...for you to understand... Stainless steel. 2021.

...do I need to give you... Stainless steel. 2021.

...what I am saying? Stainless steel. 2021.
